I thought it would be fun to share my savings story with you all too! So, here it goes:
My Savings Story
When I was 15 years old, my aunt introduced me to the world of couponing and saving money. I was actually on a plane coming back from vacation, and saw her Facebook status about the deal she got. I was very intrigued about how she did it, so I asked when I got home.
She explained the basics, and mentioned that she came across Briana’s site, Bargain Briana. I immediately subscribed to her email updates and began saving, little by little.
That little by little turned into saving hundreds of dollars every month once I learned the ins and outs of couponing. I was so amazed by how little we could pay for something we use every day! My parents were, and still are, really appreciating the savings as well.
Coupons were never something I thought I would regularly use. Now, I always check and see if there’s a coupon before we buy something. I never thought I would be excited to go shopping either, but once I started using coupons, I was asking to go to the stores!
I’m blown away by how much money we’ve saved over the years. Just in the last three months, we’ve saved over $2,000!
What’s your savings story? How did you get started with couponing and saving money?
I found the world of couponing through the popular tv show like most newbies did… I always been the frugal type but would only clip the mailbox coupons for jack-in-the-crack before the tv show. When i started working cashier at wal-mart, around the time the tv show started their premier, i noticed the world of couponing. BTW: I still clip the jack in the box coupons too. lol
