If you’re a frequent Target shopper, you may want to consider becoming a Target cardholder if you aren’t already. Starting October 17th, all Target REDcard holders will save 5% off their entire purchase when they use their Target credit card at checkout. Also, Target will donate 1% of your REDcard purchase at Target stores and Target.com to any eligible K-12 school. There is no information about this 5% savings online, but customer service did say that this program is starting everywhere on October 17th.
If you’re interested in signing up for a check card, you must apply in a Target store. If your application is approved, you’ll receive a temporary card that can be used immediately. You will receive the actual check card in 7-10 business days.
