AWESOME news guys!! Walgreens has updated their register systems to allow you to redeem your Balance Rewards points in $1 increments! This is going to be an awesome way to lessen your out of pocket prices even more!
Let me give you an example of how this works. This morning, I purchased a box of Breathe Right strips for $4. I used a $2/1 coupon, bringing my total due to $2.
On the cashier’s screen, there were options to redeem 1,000 points for $1 or 2,000 points for $2. I chose to redeem 2,000 points for $2, bringing my out of pocket to $0.00!
Note that the options to redeem in $1 increments only showed up on the cashier’s screen, NOT the pin pad. Once the cashier selects the reward amount you’d like to use, you can proceed as normal by entering your zip code.
If this option isn’t showing up at your store, you might need to wait a few days for the register to update.
